My PzII-C

Here are a few pics of my PzII-C that I converted from the DML PzII-B kit. I modified the sprockets, road wheels, return rollers, and idler wheels so they would rotate. I replaced the kit mg34 with the armored mg34 from the Wittman-Woll figure set. I copied most of the details from the PzII-C that is in the Ottawa museum. I replaced the plastic jack block with one made out of stained basswood with brass metal parts. I removed the details on the engine hatches so they would resemble the Ottawa one, and made the hinges functional. My friend Jack(a member of the OOSC) saw the finished tank and just had to have it so I'm now in the process of building another of these DML kits. Would have loved to weather and take some pics of it outside but didn't get a chance to before Jack scooped it up....LOL....As always comments are welcomed.... Harold

Re: My PzII-C

Really nice. The changes are subtle, but make it really stand out.

Re: My PzII-C

Looks great!
Looking at the up armoured process, wouldn't the angled front piece to the right of the driver's visor also get an extra armor plate?
How did you do the cone shaped rivets for the extra armor plate?
Are the extra armor on the turret front cast pieces or did you bend to shape some styrene pieces?
I keep looking at pictures of these uparmored PzIIs as I hope to do one someday...
