Panzer 2 Build How to make the wheels moveable

Hi Guys

I know this has been mentioned before but I just can't figure it out, and don't want to go wrong:

Just started the build on my Pzkpfw II C and don't know how to fix the following

Here a part of the instructions which show how the "stops" (H10, H12 and H12) should be mounted.
The red rubber should not go on top but upside down....

Now when I take the parts from the sprue, they have different numbers as can be seen on the following picture (H8, H9 and H10)

So my simple question is: where should I mount which piece???

Thanks for any help

Re: Panzer 2 Build and question

Test fit each piece. Follow the illustration and they will fit where they belong. All of them mount at slightly different angles, so be careful. The wide ones obviously will not fit where the thinner ones go, etc.

Re: Panzer 2 Build and question

Rubber faces the arm so up is the thing.

They have them upside down.

Re: Panzer 2 Build and question

So, just for reference, here is how I'm gonna do it

Too bad the "upside down" story can't be fixed with the parts available (unless you cut the parts and re-attach them up side down of course)

Re: Panzer 2 Build and question

Just do it if I remember only one causes problems as they short you one that is needed.

Go for it.

Re: Panzer 2 Build and question

Hi Guys

Not too much time on my hands, but I have found quite a simple way to get the wheel rotating without having to cut the wheels

Just take a piece of thing cardboard, fold it round the wheel axe and tape it together.. (piece of cardboard is aproc 3,1 cm x 1,7 cm)

You know have a small tube...

Now put the back side of the wheel on the axe and push (superglue) the tube on it...

Now you can glue the front part of the wheel on , and it turns....

I know, not a high tech solution and probably not sturdy enough for R/C, but if you just want the wheel to rotate, this is the way to go

here some pics for clarification:

Re: Panzer 2 Build and question

On the upside down deal , if needed DML did the same thing on their 1/35 scale kit , which I just received yesterday.

Yep the same picture also.

Re: Panzer 2 Build and question

Although I don't have very much time, I decided I couldn't live with the upside down rubbers

So I took out my dremel and cut them off... I re-attached them the right way and with a lot of putty, nothing can be seen

I feel a lot happier now....

Here the pictures

Of course a little sanding still has to be done !
