Re: Luftwaffe Airfield Equpment
Hey Dick!
I've been into O-scale trains the last couple of years, but I keep coming back to 1/6 stuff to see what you guys have been up to. To be honest, I have enough trains and 1/6 figures for a couple of people, but it doesn't mean I can't do an upgrade or two Plus...after I retired back in 2007 (30+ years in civil service) I got re-hooked on golf. My kids and sister-in-law gave me 2 gift certificates for golf lessons 2 years ago and after I took the 2nd one the golf pro at one of the local courses asked me if I wanted to work in the pro shop (had nothing to do with my swing ).So right now I work Sat/Sun afternoon at the golf course. Part of the "deal" was that I get to play all the golf I want for F-R-E-E , so my free time during the day is usually on the golf course. All of my figures are in storage, except my airmen, but I plan on pulling my tankers and a few choice figures out and putting them back on display. I was lurking the other day and read some posts about the 17th Airborne Division. As it turns out, one of the guys I see at the golf course was in the 17th during WWII. I think he was a Captain, maybe a Colonel. His name is Marshall, but I can't recall his last name. He can hit a pretty mean golf ball, even at 84-85 years old. If I see him again I'll corner him and find out more. Anyway, I'll drop by periodically and see what you guys are doing. It's nice to see some familiar faces still on the forum. Bob

Worked on the cart all week and all it needs is its final paint. What I liked about it was it was small and it was free. It is built all from scrap I had laying around. Next is the start cart.

Re: Luftwaffe Airfield Equpment
Nice job....always a pleasure to see a project done by someone creative enough to take a photo or picture of some piece of WWll equipment and transform it into 1/6th plastic-Pete
