CAEN 1944

Here is a young Queens Own Rifles on his way to Caen. I used a Tony Barton headsculpt for this guy and wanted him to look young and innocent. I repainted the webbing to resemble the more "Raw" look as it seems that the Canadians did not use "blanco" as much as the brits? Everything is DML except for the HS, the newline boots and I remade the rifle sling out of athletic tape. Everything else was pretty much given a once over. Thanks for lookin!

great figure, Burdo. The headsculpt and the webbing turned out great.

He looks great, but according to my uncle (a WWII vet) guys with glasses were not assigned to combat units.

Great job! And since Johnny Canuck brought up the blanco/raw issue in another thread, the comments about the webbing actually made sense to me...
