• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

    newbie question about german uniform

The problem with Jurgen's uniform is that the insignia are printed on it, making it very hard to remove them without leaving smudges and residue.

A few questions about Slavko Juric/Hasan Malner

The tunic is the original Hasan Malnar item. I tried to fit CVI insignia over them, but they didn't cover them 100%, so I kept them as is. A few notes on the making of the fez: as the DiD HS is rather small, both the DML and DiD fezzes looked huge. The trickest part was to construct the...

A few questions about Slavko Juric/Hasan Malner

A while ago, I bashed a Handschar figure, opting for Italian camo pants. As for the fez, first I tried to use a fez from DML, but it looked like a huge felt roll. That prompted me to scratchbuild one from hobby felt painted with acrylics and with CVI insignia added, and it looks a lot more to...

    New BoB figure from DiD

I have a Richard Winters bash in the works, but Normandy instead of Holland/Belgium, so no buy for me. I'll use a repainted Ace Workshop HS. As for the DiD overseas cap, it has the wrong kind of piping. white-and-blue was for EM and NCOs, while officers had gold-and-black. If they want to make...

    Important Announcement

Well, my main plastic crack dealer has decided to drop DML due to the rotten profit margin, so I guess it will be loose parts from now on. I've got enough stuff in my boxes to keep me occupied for 1½-2 years, so I don't feel I'm missing out on anything.
