• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

    Who bought out Panzerwerks?

I can't really answer your questions since I don't really know. But my understanding is Panzerwerks parts won't be available again soon. Might come back but I don't think the new owner of the molds and masters has any immediate plans. I do know Steve was sad to have to let Panzerwerks shut down...

    Monkey Rabbit Studio

That's very sad. The T34 and other vehicles looked very nice. 2020 has not been a great year for a lot of businesses. I'll try to buy some crates on eBay and show some support.

    Go truck

I used to see these on eBay and at a couple of 1/6th dealer sights. Glad he's still around. They really looked great.

    Happy Thanksgiving

Belated Happy Thanksgiving. Had a great day with family and friends yesterday and I hope all of you did what you could to have the same in the time of the "rona".

    DiD German Jackboots

I'd be a little concerned with trying to stretch them. The problem is the shafts are glued, not stitched and I think you'd have a pretty good chance of tearing the seams. Modifying the calf makes more sense to me. And I think the nature of the materials used tends to make the figures less...

    DiD German Jackboots

They were nice looking boots until they disintegrated. DiD and everyone else it seems like stepped up their game on the leather and "pleather" boots. I've switched back to almost entirely using Dragon and bbi plastic boots though on US figures. Just reasonably nicely sculpted and more durable...

    DML's return to 1/6th

I expect the M3 would actually be doable as a resin kit or assembled since they've done a 105mm Howitzer in resin before. It would be a pretty neat and not totally unrealistic item to see again, maybe with a US paratrooper or marine release.

    German Torn Radios

Beautiful work. They really came out great. The research time you put in really paid off with an improved set as well as your craft labors. So I guess extra hobby time is the upside to an epidemic?

1:6 scale fully interior structure Jagdpanther

More proof one sixth modelling can be as or more serious than any of the smaller scales. Another amazing museum piece. Congratulations and kudos on your skills.

    ROC Hobby Willys MB 1941

Has anyone ordered and received one of these from banggood? It seems like an amazing product at an amazing price if you actually get one. I'm very tempted. But I have little faith nowadays without some decent intelligence.

1/6 Full built panther G tank completed

That's really amazing. I've seen some detailed projects here but the detailed interior on this is unbelievable. Great work.

    Does anyone recognize this "Firefly"

That's a great start, Mike. I'm no longer man enough to work on a Viper Sherman. I wince when I think about lugging around the one I had. It was fun enough to put together and paint the hull and turret, but as soon as I added the running gear and had it finished I realized these things give new...

    Does anyone recognize this "Firefly"

I'd seen it listed before, Dick. It feels like a blast from the past. It's just interesting to see something like this nowadays. I expect it was built during the good old days. I was wondering if anyone knew the responsible party. And it makes sense it's a Plasticpanzers or James DeSimone...
