• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

That is awesome, I'd have thought it was 1/1 if you hadn't told me!

    M18 Hellcat

Terrific build! I have nothing but deep respect for anyone building open topped vehicles. It's not twice the work, it's 4 times the work.

My (Nemesis) 250/5 Neu, Rescued from the Shelf of Doom

Steve, it's all from scratch aside from panzerwerks amazing running gear. Wish I had time for all the stuff I've planned to do away from home, but dreaming up stuff is half the fun anyway.

SD.KFZ 250 radio rack need help

I faced the same problem so I used brass rod instead. I bent both of the main frames at the same time so they would end up identical. Panzerwerks has the template/plan on his website for free download. I think it took 2 or 3 tries (meaning I destroyed a few brass rods) to get the 2 frames...

    Panzer 2 Dragon

Amazing build, I would believe it's the real thing were it not for the background in a few of the photos. Has to be the most real looking model I've seen on here, ever. I like that it isn't paint chipped to oblivion with heavy handed rust all over the place (as if the Germans made the worst...

    SdKfz 250 hydraulic lever set-up.....

Which version 250 are you interested in? The 250 Alt transmission was the same transmission used on the Demag (or visa versa). The only difference being the top cover on the transmission. The bell housing and hydraulic brake levers remained virtually unchanged between the Demag, 250 Alt and 250...

    Resin

Since you are fairly new here and may be new to the hobby you could be wondering what the deal is with making resin copies of commercially available items. There are few members here who offer resin parts for sale. These folks spend considerable time in research, money and time constructing a...

    Humber Mk II Scout Car

One of the best looking vehicles I've seen here in quite some time, and there have been some really nice looking vehicles posted here. Aside from a great build, in particular I really like your weathering job. So often we see vehicles weathered to the point where they actually look like 60 year...

Fury - Now including spoilers. Don't read if you don't want to read spoilers

I plan to see Fury Friday and very much looking forward to it. The problem with war movies is, they represent the visual aspect only. Reallity is that the combat experience/memories have so little to do with the visual, and more to do with the intangibles. In truth a movie is a poor simulation...

    RC Tiger explodes during demonstration.

Are LiPos banned in Germany? I've been using them on my RC stuff for years now. They do require special treatment and can start a pretty hot fire but, I've never seen them explode.
