• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

    3Q Brad Pitt head sculpt

I haven't posted in quite some time, but like most of you I enjoyed the movie FURY. I saw the sculpt online and took a chance on ordering it. It came relatively fast and was prepainted. Overall its not a bad looking likeness of "wardaddy," although the scars on the sculpt could have been a bit...

Bogie and Lulubelle reunited (Additional Pics on page 2) Well, I finally got around to building my M3 Lee this week. I've had it for about 2 years and decided to "git her done!" DML Sherman-Poor Man's 50 cal. mount

Well since I am now cash poor, after purchasing my DML Sherman, and the wife said, no more suprise packages from Fedex are allowed...lol, I decided to do a quick fix to the DML Sherman's coupola. I know Armour guy will probably have a terrific molded coupola soon, but this will have to do until...

DML Sherman Hatch Cover Part 2

As posted previously, applying moderate force will pop the hull hatch covers on the Sherman. Another quick fix to make the hatches open and close on its own hinge is fairly easy. After you pop the hatch, take an X-acto knife and carefully cut into the middle part of the Sherman's existing...

DML Sherman - Hull Hatch Problem explained

Just received my Sherman this morning via FEDEX. It is certainly huge! Better have plenty of room for this bad boy. It was packed well but the bag holding all the track links was broken and the links were all over the inside of box. Hopefully all links will be there Now, more importantly...

    Oldies but goodies

My Mom sent me some old poloroids taken around 1964-65 of our basement. She is now 94 and going strong and felt I would enjoy seeing my first GI Joe diorama. This mainly consisted of a 4x8 sheet of plywood and rocks found outside in an adjoining lot. These pictures are definitely low quality...

Honest, Honey, Tim told me I had to do this!
