• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

    Looking for a headsculpt

I'm bringing this to the collective knowledge of the group. Looking for a WWII era US/British headsculpt with brown hair and a mustache. I've done a bit of searching and only came up with one that I can't find for sale. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris

    Kurzer 8cm Granatwerfer 42 questions

Gents, I just got my first German Kz 8cm GrW42 - the Eugen Schrange version - and I have a couple of questions. 1. Did the tube have a data plate strapped to it like the GrW32? It looks like one was molded on but it is painted the same color as the tube. 2. Were the shock absorber tubes...

    Some FJs

It has been a long time since I posted any pictures here, but I have been enjoying the fine work being done by the members here. Any way here are some fallys that I have been working on for a long time. Weathering most of them will be the next step. FJ Hauptmann, Italy (based off a pic in...

Some FJs I am working on

Here are two FJ officers I am working on. Everything is DML except the Fliegermutze (don't know where it came from) and Nomad's excellent collar tabs and ribbon bar. The fliegermutze needs some insignia. Based on figure D3 of Osprey's German Airborne Troops. DiD Schlemm tunic with Nomad's...

    FJ Officer Tunics

Here is my first attempt to improve some uniforms. I replaced all the white stuff with silver thread. I have some CVI chest eagles, waiting on the right shade of blue-gray. Anybody have a clue where to find some ribbon bars?
