• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Hi guys, It’s been a really long time since I’ve posted here. Went through a divorce and haven’t had much time for my various hobbies. Getting back into 1/6 and N scale model railroading with my kids. I have a few projects on the bench. A mostly complete DAK Kubelwagen, a 30% finished DAK...

    Iron Sky Film

Well, just wasted an hour and a half watching this filth. Started out ok, but just kept getting worse. It's stupid and it sucks. Juvenile words to describe a juvenile movie. Jamie

    Marwencol Documentary on Netflix

Hi guys, Browsing Netflix the other night I came across a documentary on Mark Hogancamp's Marwencol. Marwencol was the last place that Sgt. Takanashi, the 1/6 scale traveling ambassador, visited. I haven't watched it yet, but plan to soon. I'm not sure if the link will work, since I had to sign...

    R/C Kubelwagen Build

I was finally able to acquire a suitable RC donor car so I could get started on my kubelwagen. I'm using a Tamiya Gravel Hound. It's a 4wd buggy but I'm leaving the differential gears and axle shafts out of the front. Been working on it for a couple of days and I've got the front and rear axle...

    Excellent vehicle drawings

Don't think I've seen this posted here before. I have contacted the owner for permission to enlarge some of the drawings. He's from Germany and a real nice guy. Had no problems gaining permission to reproduce them for personal use. Besides the German ones, there are also a large number of Allied...

    Fritz Eastwoody

So my 4-year-old son is playing in his room a couple nights ago and brings this guy into the living room for me to see. He says he put the helmet on him because he couldn't find his cowboy hat. I got a laugh out of it, thought I'd share. Jamie

DX'06 BMW repaint (New pics added)

Got bored today and figured I should do something constructive, so I took the bike apart and repainted it with some Krylon camo paint I had laying around. Been wanting to do this since I got the bike 3 years ago, but was too afraid I would break the polystone. It still needs license plates and...

    Vacu-Forming questions...

What is the thickest styrene that can be vacu-formed? I'm wanting to use .060 or .080 to make the fenders for a project I'm working on. Also, could pink foam be laminated together and then carved into a master for vacu-forming parts, or is it not strong enough? Thanks, Jamie
