• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

    I want out !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Florida's been pretty nice for me. Of course I don't live near Disney/Orlando so that helps I guess Here's the big pros: Low taxes Great weather- never been as hot in Miami as I've been in Eastern Kentucky, Arizona, Western PA, Mississippi, Texas, or Arkansas. Never been as cold here as I've...

    New battleground in the works

Viaad , You are indeed fortunate to have a nice private outdoor stage, I'm envious. John, For your buildings why don't have some water proof slip covers made up. I can't think of any reason to expose them to the elements 24 hrs a day when not in use.

    mle 1914 Hotchkiss **Finished**

Viaad, So far as I can determine the feet are permanently fixed to the legs, no rotation. Not counting the time spent on research I'd guess I have 250 hours in this spread out over the last year and a half. Of that 100 hours in the last two weeks. I think I spent 18 hours just making the...

    Some weapon WIPs

Thanks guys! Spent today working up new feet for the tripod, cutting parts for the elevation, and several hours trying to make sense of the receiver and shuttle tray. Hopefully I'll have those bits roughed out before I go to bed. Now here's where I can use some input. I've had several...

    **FINISHED** M3A4 Utility Handcart

Some pics of rejected sidewalls, failed brigde tooling, and the stuff that worked. These are the rejected ones that didn’t get thrown out…yet. You can see the problem, the lettering isn’t blended in to the surface of the sidewall and the surface is way too rough This...

M3A4 Utility Handcart, John Woods MfG. 1943 steel body. Late spoked wheels w/ Firestone Rib Implement tires Well, it’s finished. I might have overdone the weathering. Comments and criticism always welcome. I need to find better string for the tow ropes, and in my haste it seems I forgot a...

    Polish TKS Tankette WIP

My tracks are a bit over 27.55mm wide. PZII links are 47-48mm? I think only the Renault UE has narrower tracks. The track links shown are either acrylic at about 12 pieces per link. Or the easier to work with wooden links at 5 pieces per link. When I get 20 good links together those will be the...

    Polish TKS Tankette WIP

Yes the primary material is acrylic. It's all laser cut but for the rear axel and all my "bolts" which are stock styrene rods and tubes. If you noticed all of the empty holes that's where I haven't yet placed the bolts. Since the goal of this particular piece is to make sure everything fits...

    WIP M3A4 Utility Hand Cart

The cart was designed in CorelDraw. All of the clear parts are laser cut acrylic/plexiglass since the laser doesn't agree with styrene or ABS. I bought a laser cutter/engraver about a year and a half ago. So it's all laser cut, and the ID plate is laser etched. The white pieces are stock styrene...

    WIP M3A4 Utility Hand Cart

Not really a weapon, vehicle, or figure so I guess it goes here. Apologies for the less than stellar photos. An iPhone is rather imperfect for this sort of thing. I am going to have to re-do the box as the tow loops and ID plate are not placed correctly, as well the bracket for stowing...

Hundreds of hours of research, 200+ hours starring at CorelDraw and this is what I have to show for it so far. Photos are sort a chronological build history, and this story isn’t yet finished. I fact we can call this Chapter One: Running gear, Suspension and Hull. The first test fit of hull...
