• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

1:6 Soviet 25MM 72K anti-aircraft gun formation

Last year, I saw this 25MM anti-aircraft gun of the Soviet Army on the Internet, and I was interested in it for a while. I spent 3 days on modeling, and then waited for printing and mailing back and forth, missing parts, modifying parts, printing again and mailing back and forth, which was several times longer than the production time. In short, it was finally finished efficiently. A total of 2 units were produced to form an artillery formation. The anti-aircraft gun can pitch from +85 degrees to -5 degrees as the real thing, and two additional ammunition cases are made. In order to make up the two artillery groups, I had to draw out some more Soviet troops, which made my small number of Soviet infantry even more scarce.

Oh man, it just keeps getting better ! :amer_rollin:

What awonderful set of AA guns!

What kind of 3d printing was used: resin or fdm printing?

It is completely printed with photosensitive resin, with a 1MM thick steel plate under the floor, 8MM diameter aluminum tube for the gun barrel, square aluminum bars embedded inside the beam of the support, and 7MM diameter aluminum bars embedded inside the curved support of the four wheels. Only in this way can it ensure no deformation

Very cool especially with figures and the snow! Amazing! Only 3 day to make CAD model?? - it would take me 3 months LOL.
Superb!

Wow! I then assume you printed those curved reinforced parts in two seperate parts and then glued the two resin parts around the aluminum bars?

I did something similar when I had to rebuild the axle for my Heersfeldwagen:
