• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Charlie Foxtrot

:D Hello! My user name has my initials, in phonetic alphabet. It is also a military joke. I have been a member of the U.S. Army. I was a tank platoon leader. I also spent time at the Patton Museum as a volunteer.
In the combination of those, I have ridden and or driven many different military vehicles, to include the M-3 Stuart, M-4 Sherman, M-26, T-95, M-41, M-48, M-551, M-60, M-1, M-113, M-2/3, Leopard I, Hetzer, T-34, T-55, T-62, MTLB, BMP-3, Centurion, Chieftain, M-3 scout car, kettenkrad, and many other different and interesting vehicles. I was usually too busy to take pictures. I was fortunate to visit many battlefields in Ukraine, Poland, Italy, France, Belgium, and Germany. As a youngster I grew up in Bad Tolz, Germany.
I have recently become involved in this hobby, which it probably the most demanding modeling. in 1/285th and 72nd scale, you don't need to do as much.
I will be looking for help as I try and model vehicles and soldiers from the
10th Mountain Division, US; 45th Infantry Division, US; Brazilian 1st Division; Hermann Goring Division in Italy; and other units involved in the Italian Campaign.;)
