A Taowan WMIK.............Out of the ashes..........

Hi All,

I am sure most normal people who buy reasonably expensive ready built vehicles will appreciate them for what they are, add a little stowage, maybe a little more paint and weathering and possibly a crew. That was my plan when I bought the Taowan WMIK……………….until it arrived and I sat back and took a good look at it.

Don’t get me wrong, it looks quite like a WMIK if you’ve never seen one, don’t have half a ton of hi-res pics in front of you and have any knowledge of the difference between series III and 110’s.

I was overtaken by my usual madness and out came a pair of pipe grips, hammer, chisel and pliers and off I went. Two hours later the model was a stripped down and forlorn shadow of what arrived, surrounded by a tangle of twisted and rusting metal parts, but hey………….I’m a modelmaker and this is what I do.

For those who want to see how it went from there to what is in the pics below there is a full build thread here:

http://www.armorpax.com/Armorpax/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=318

I will post pics of the finished article once I get it painted and stowed.

Best regards

Dave

Holey Moley. They should send their potential releases to you for inspection before production.

Congrads on another museum piece.
