HJ Question

Did the Hitler Youth use breadbags? What kind of equipment did they use before 1943?

Please...
again...not to seem rude or unable to help...but the questions you're asking are so open to interpretation that it's difficult to understand exactly what you mean...
Your topic says 'HJ'...your question says Hitler youth...
Are you referrind to the 12th SS 'Hitlerjugend' division of the Waffen SS ?...
...or are you referring to the Hitler youth organization?
Also, if you're referring to the Waffen SS division...asking about what weapons they used is the same as asking " What weapons did the uS Army use?"...
even a little 'google-ing' will yield a lot of information (w/pics) of the 12th SS division...perhaps after reading a little about the history of the division, you'll know a little more and be able to pose a more specific question, which a lot of us here will be able to help you with...
right off, I can tell you that the 12th SS was a combat division of the Waffen SS...so, it's soldiers carried the standard gear that was seen in any other German division of it's type...SS infantry used camouflage earlier and much more often than it's Heer counterparts...and used camoflage patterns 'fairly' unique to the SS...but outside of this, their were no weapons really 'unique' to the SS...
The 'Hitler youth' were an organization for young boys...kind of like a Nazi 'Boy Scout'...

Sorry for the confusion. I meant the Hitler Youth not the 12th SS. I've seen pictures of Hitler Youth boys carring K98s and wearing breadbags. And I just wanted to confirm this.

The HJ used a different version of the bread bag was a different color from the army ones and had only one ring for the water bottle. But you could use an army one if you wanted to. I'll see if I can find a pic of a HJ breadbag.
Here's a good link to HJ items for sale shows some of the gear, scroll down for the HJ items
