21C Scout Car box art

I just bought a Scout Car (modified as a 21C trade show version of General Patton's personal Scout Car). A poor version because Patton added high armor front and rear not on this one. But that is not my question.

The box art shows the Scout Car with the proper six seats in the back. I bought it from a lady who has been selling 21C prototypes since 21C went under, i.e. the 1/18 King Tiger, which never made production.

My question is:

Did 21C ever make a Scout with rear seats? The box art clearly show it to be a 21C Scout Car.

I've never seen one with seats. Is this one of those cases where the packaging was made up but cost? eliminated the seats from the final product.

BTW - The Scout Car I bought did not have the six seats. Over the years, I have bought two other Scout Cars, without boxes, and none had seats.

Just curious whether I have old art on this box?

2nd BTW - As a long term project, I will try to replicate the Patton Scout Car using this one.

Re: 21C Scout Car box art

Probably you can answer in Pistolpete's checklist.

I have one bought with box and was this:

Pistol Pete’s 21C Checklist: M3 Scout Car

No seats too

Re: 21C Scout Car box art

Now, I knew I wasn't going crazy...... well, more crazy, and I was sure I hadn't seen this art work before.

Here is the box I received today:

Sure looks nice with the seats, I imagine it was just too expensive to make with the seats.
