Ultimate Soldier Pak 40 75mm?

Ebay Item number: 6010477150. Several available at $78 or less.

Are they any good? Correct scale?
Thanks

That is a great price, for a really nice piece. The scale is good and you will be surprised just how big it is in person. The Pak is like many of 21C's later pieces, it is detailed, but built like a toy for durability. It is not as finely detailed as the DiD Nebelwerfer, but at that price it is half the cost. Here is my (repainted) Pak40:

I would grab one if you don't already have any, they usually get pulled from Ebay due to some law issues between a customizer and 21st. Unless it was resolved recently I got one last year and it is awesome. It's not perfect from what I read but it doesn't need much.

the issue with the customizer is bunk , i meet the gentleman who made the prototype for 21st and the reason a major thinks its his , is his boys and the guy i knew both used the tamiya kit as a base for thier piece ie they both had identical mistakes .

i wrote these people selling the Pak and shipping was only $14 for prioraty mail , so i grabbed one , i think its a great piece , and having an extra one around for this price was too good to pass up .

BTW if the customajor wants to go to court , id be happy to be a witness for 21st , as i have personal knowlege of the situation , and am sick of people claiming things that based in fantasy , BTW i saw the prototype at least a year before its release .

Gary, I have 2 of them all painted up and one waiting to be mounted on a Marder III. They are rugged and playable, and you won't be sorry.

I saw the Email that was sent around to retailers, Ebay and it's sellers by the customizer and it wasn't the guy you mentioned. The email stated that there was a legal dispute in the works. I am not the only guy that saw the Email.

I also heard it was a copy of the Tamiya kit scaled up from a few other guys. I do know that Ebay was pulling them after the guy complained to Ebay. That was the reason I bought mine, I was worried I would never get one at a decent price. I have no clue if the case has been settled or not there were a few vehicles listed on the complaint other than the Pak 40.

well im not gonna argue about who it was , but i had an inside seat to the whole deal , including a couple folks at 21st , all i can say is ,the whole deal is bogus , and people who do whats been done with Ebay have caused great strife for a lot of little guys and retailers who were doing nothing wrong , and yet the guilty party still goes unpunished , just wrong and unprofessional in my book .

BTW there was only one "customizer at the time who made a PAK 40 , and its the one and only i mentioned .

This eBay seller was AWESOME... I ordered it yesterday (Thur 11-03-05) and it was here today (Fri 11-04-05)... I plan to set this puppy into a SdKfz251 someday...
"Reasonable Collectables" price is only $3 cheaper so that really didn't make much of a difference to me...

I finaly purchase one too after looking at Horsa's pics.

Even with 55$ for shipping to Belgium, it remain a good deal.

I saw somewhere some tips for improving it but I don't remember where it was. Any idea ?

Take care.

You are EVIL Mike!!!!

You FORCED me to get a couple too. I have one I got from Tony's Toys when they first came out (I believe they are still listed on his site) but for 69.99 plus 14 shipping, ! couldn't pass it up.

Thanks a bunch buddy.

BTW, they also have the very cool Marx Knight re-issues, and a bunch of cheap ($15) Boxed Ultimate soldier figs. I almost ordered the 101st pathfinder figure, think that was the only TUS fig I never had, but figured I splurged enough for one day

Hey Zach, nice to see you here...
Yeah it is one of those "snooze you lose" sorta deals with places like TRU, KB or Wallyworld... I am very jazzed at being able to get another one for less than $90 total...
Out of 13 showing yesterday on this AUCTION only 4 are left for the $69 price...

Anyone get their gun yet? Seems to be taking a long time to get from Nevada to Arizona.

What do you know, just got an email from the seller saying the shipping was a few dollars more than I had been invoiced and to please send it.

I don't know ... could be they made an honest mistake but it has now taken nearly a week since paid.

When I sell on eBay, I don't make the buyer pay for my mistakes.

I'm not too happy, but I do want the PAKs , just disappointed.

I blame Mike, he set my expectations too high

Well still no sign of my Pak and no answer to my email to the seller. Oddly enough, she left me positive feedback for purchase yesterday.

I ordered two of them on the 4th of November and still haven't received them. I live in MI too so when I saw that someone overseas got one already I am a little nervous about it.

Have you contacted the Seller??? Sometimes honest mistakes slow things down... You need to see what the Seller has to say about your order status if you already haven't...

inxsone,
I tried emailing him a few times but the emails were bounced back because of spam blocker. So, I called him today and he seems like a real nice guy. He said that he was out of town picking up a bunch of items at a store in Ohio that was liquidating its assets. He told me that he left a note to have them mailed out but they never did. He reassured me that one was mailed out already and the other was going out in the mail today. So, I'll keep an eye out for them. Seems like it was just an honest mistake. Heck I have made a few in my lifetime. I just can't wait to get them.
We talked for a good 10-20 minutes. He said that he has a contact at 21st century toys that he buys directly from. He also gets them at walmart. He said that he also has stuarts, jeeps, and kubels. The jeeps and the kubels are all sold out now though.
Well I'll keep you posted on when they get here. Thanks for the help.
Jim

JAAKUB,

I got an email from the seller this morning saying that they had been out of town and according to my wife I have a large box waiting for me at home now so I wouldn't worry too much.
