Panzer IV Ausf.J Armortek 1/6
Hello men
I want to introduce a new project, since the 2-3 months I work. it is a Panzer IV Ausf .J with alternating tower for Wirbelwind . the day there are more images of Panzer IVer ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Panzer IV Ausf.J Armortek 1/6
This is going to be awesome!
For a while I wanted to do the same thing, but then went with a Wirbelwind, as there were enough WW specific parts to make the conversion too complicated for me. ALso the issue of side-skirts somewhat pushed me toward the WW.Look forward to how you will tackle those issues! |

Heiko, Is that the FOA001-M401R detailed cupola?
Your schurtzen you sent us are gorgeous for my Pz.IVJ and I'm looking forward to your build. I'd love to offer an Ausf.J version of this vehicle with the late exhaust. Another project that I have been "simmering" is a solid suspension system and RC design for the Pz.IV chassis. One dream at a time... looking forward to yours coming to reality

I have begun to inscribe on its casters gums. since it is an exemplary .J. I've manufacturer mixed, thus the impression is created that everything was taken which was still to be found. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Panzer IV Ausf.J Armortek 1/6
go on
The Tower of Armortek weighs more than 9 kg, which is me simply hard to solid and. Therefore I started to rebuild the tower from 5-10 mm strong poly. if I equal to new construction him, I thought he'd also razed more maintainable, it takes you to everything ran, and it can be quickly reconnected to the Wirbelwind. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Panzer IV Ausf.J Armortek 1/6
Looks great!
I see you decided to go with sideskirts. At one time I was planning to something similar, a dual purpose vehicle. Decided to go with only the WW option as I decided to use some of the WW specific pieces, like the extra barrel cases and ammo cans. The other factor was that I do not feel confortable working metal for the sideskirts and could not locate a WW with sideskirts. For the late PzIV tank, the sideskirts or at least the brackets are a key... Keep looking forward to see how you continue to tackle the usual obstacles in every build. Fantastic detail in every millimeter as with all your wonderful work. |

Here a small construction update
The technology sequence with smoker light flashing and ... tube retreat in my Panzer IV comes from the TWM Box Not cheap but clean work here still a small test video, I have had too little smoke oil in the moment: - [ ![]() |

Hi men continue in my building report
The tower is not finished yet, here and there still a few clichés are missing but an end is in sight. I have built the tower in two halves so I always childishly approach all parts you never know. ![]() The tower itself is built of 1cm thick poly and thus megastar and light weight with technology the whole tower weighs just 3.5 kg The original tower of Armortek is made of aluminum but weighs 12 kg: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Panzer IV Ausf.J Armortek 1/6
I am building a command station J. who has had a total of 3 antennas.for FuG5 and FuG8 with star antenna. There was no room for the Koxial MG through the many radio devices. The MG was omitted
The one on the tower roof is the radio aerial for FuG 5. the other is a seabass.TSR1 |

Re: Panzer IV Ausf.J Armortek 1/6
Hello men
Today I will go into the painting. Display command tank Panzer IV 116th Panzer Division (Wehrmacht) Nickname, Windhund-Division The Panzer IV was the unintended working-animal of the Wehrmacht. The final decision of a WH Panzerdarzustellen is quite easy. And during the armored meetings between the 1000 SS tanks, he falls even further. I wanted to show a Panzer IV, which after the damage in the field by (for example, mine hit) was led back into the Nibelungenwerk, which was converted there to the commandant. According to Walter J. Spielberger, command posts were only changed from the damaged P.IV, so all reconstructions and parts in rust protection have been met, especially since the material and time constraints at the end of the war had to go quickly. At the camouflage I decided for a classic three-color camouflage. The rollers are pre-finished. The tank itself has so far only a basic wash. And 100,000 small scratches. With such a chunk everything takes a little longer. Alone for the scratches I have used 1 week. So I still have a lot of work before me. But you can see where the trip goes. Enough written here a few pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Continue with the exhaust pots, they should look as if by the heat in part the color peeled off. And to which the oxidation begins. They are not quite finished yet.

Thank you very much the pictures you like.
I started to paint some of the spare chain links, on original pictures of those days, I noticed again and again the chain links were also primed or simply simply over painted. Beyond spectacular. It is museum quality! Except that most museums clean their tanks up too much and repair field damage, so this one looks more like a real field-used vehicle.

I have now painted the precursor of the unit canister. Which is very rare. At the beginning of the war still quite often, later almost not at all anymore, it was then replaced by the unit container X - today known as "canister".

Re: Panzer IV Ausf.J Armortek 1/6
Heiko, all we ask from customers who use a picture directly from Field of Armor website (or a product), is a "shameless plug" to give FOA its copyright privilege. It's good for our business and allows customers to be exposed to the products we sell.
The masters are provided by Frontline Hobbies This 20-liter German gas can is found at the below link: http://www.fieldofarmortanks.com/foa...liter-gas-can/ We provide also the 5-liter Kraffstoff gas can Gorgeous finish of your gas can! and this Armortek tank is stunning

If you sold that tank for what it's worth, you could retire in comfort for the rest of your life.

Fantastic work - the flak gun looks real. Great figures for sure, excellent details, love the mags in the ready racks. Super job.
