Question about Captain's 'shoulder 'straps'

Hello all....
I'm hoping that someone here can help me with some questions and information...
I'm in the process of bashing a Normandy US paratrooper medic Captain;
I have a few photos of some of these guys during D-Day and beyond wearing 'rank' insignia on the M42 shoulder straps (whether this was a 'smart' idea or not isn't the question).
I don't have any info on what, exactly, these rank insignia looked like AND I have no clue if these are available in 1/6...
Does anyone here have info or can direct me to a site that can provide info on the 'make up' of these shoulder rank insignia...
AND...does anyone know if these can be had by a manufacturer in 1/6th?
Thanks in advance,
Bruce

I do not know what the item ;ools like,but I do know someone that can make it.
Robin and Angel are great people and can make anything as long as they have a picture of it. They have done a lot of great insignia for me.
Here is thier address:
One_Sixth_Scale_King@verizon.net
When you find out what the insignia you need looks like,drop them a line.

Some officers had riggers make them rank bars out of parachute cord. Check out "Trigger time" Mark Bando's site for more pictures.

Looks right on to me. I guess Oakleaves and eagles are a little tougher to do in cloth.
