Even Tigers Need a Break.
I decided to go with a bit of a rest stop period for our battle weary troops for the latest setup and put some of the latest additions to the collection to good use. Getting hold of enough Zeltbahns was a task in itself, some of those loose items are getting hard to track down. Unfortunatley the rain set in just as the figures we finally in position, which made for a bit of a damp photo session, luckly myself, the troops and my camera have finally dried out nicely.
Here are some photos from the latest setup: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Vince. |

Another exquisite diorama Vince. Among the other intricate details I really like the realistic fluid pouring out of the jerry can. Nice touch.

Excellent dio and photography as always!
If you don't mind me asking, how long does it take for you to set up one of these dios? Do you do it by yourself or with your friends? I'm curious cause takes some time to set up a figure in a realistic pose, much less a whole group of them. So I'll imagine the amount of work that each dio requires. How about planning? Is everything planned before hand (number of figures, activities in dio, etc) or is it all done on location? |

As usual your photos are top notch and the dio is great. Every time you posted pics with Tigers in the past I was jealous now I have one and seeing this makes me want to put all my older projects aside and get to work on mine. Your pics always make my day!

As allways you set the example and the standard in this hobby of what can be achived. and Kev is right sorry it rained on your Photo shoot but it really adds a lot to the over all feel. BTW I and many other would love to see this in B&W your B&W pics add a real touch to the overall feel of the Dio. Thanks again

I gotta agree with everyone else, the rain did add to the realism, the mud stuck in the Tigers tracks, rain drops on the helmets, etc. Whew! That was good!

WOW!!!!!
Vince,
opening your posts are alot like christmas morning as a kid! Just a boody good show! You said in your post that the rain set in as you were taking the pictures, a little bit damp as you mentioned but it really lent alittle bit more authenticity to the dio! (as if it needed any more! ![]() Cya, Hankster

Thanks for all the positive comments, I had high hopes for this setup, I put three days solid work into it before hand, building all the bits and pieces. We've been really lucky with the weather for the last 18 months, probably a little too lucky. I prefer to shoot on a cloudy day and it started off perfect, I can easily clock up 500+ images on one of these days but the rain was starting to get into everything and rolling around on wet cold mud wasn't too pleasant so I only managed around 120 images in total as we packed up early - never mind, as the great man himself once said "I'll be back".
We normally aim to meet at 10.30am, trouble is we can't resist stopping off at and excellent all day breakfast cafe on the way down ![]() ![]() As requested here are some B/W shoots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Many thanks for viewing, Vince. |

Vince as always an excellent dio, it is truly a work of art. But next time make sure you put that one slacker reading the Signal magazine to work. Everyone is working but him. I noticed that you also had a Russian in there too. Can't wait till your next one, they just keep on getting better and better.

It is very realistic.... I can't tell you how much maintenance time I spent on my tank. The team cleaning the gun tube is very good..
