The Wolf's Lair 1st Annual Figure Contest

Hey everyone. Over on The Wolf's Lair (yes that board), we are having our 1st annual figure contest. Real simple. So check it out and see what you can do. Heck you might even enjoy yourself. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me. Thanks to the Mods for allowing this on this forum.
Paul

Here is the link to the thread that deals with the rules and such:

Interesting and unique contest ... 'theme'

I don't think I have a single figure that meets the first 2 rules / criteria let alone the next few.

Quote:

rules for the 1st Annual Figure Bash:

1. All entries must be of the third reich period and POLITICAL, which means black SS uniformed figures or grey Allgemeine uniforms etc., SA, NSKK, NSDAP, Hitler Youth etc. All high leaders are also acceptable; Hitler, Goring, Himmler, Heydrich etc. Early waffen ss {VT}PRE 1940 ONLY!! No mid-to late war waffen SS figures please UNLESS they are FOREIGN!!! dutch, germanic, british free corps, russiche, estonian etc. is the exception. So any NON german waffen unit mid to late war is fine {just to make it interesting}

2.This means NO WEHRMACHT (Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine) figures accepted.
Good luck with the contest

Love the idea -
No chance of me entering though, my modifications end @ adding an extra gun to a figure lol

I do have a Goering figure, but I keep him in his box so he won't go around the neighborhood stealing women's make-up!

Without politics, there can be no war....

I have a question though...Why is it that on various boards we can discuss the Waffen-SS combat soldier (whofollowed what their party leaders told them) but when it comes down to the party leaders themselves, it is taboo? Maks no sense to me. But thanks though for allowing it to remain....

Politics always lead into crazy heated online arguments, that none of us care to deal with. This board is dedicated to modeling the combat soldiers of WW2 and their tools of war, not the political leaders and their ideals...big difference there Paul, I'm sure you understand

I am moderator/Admin on another board (NautilusSubmarine.com) and we will not allow any political or religious discussion at all. These types of discussions and the personal rancor that develops from them always has a polarizing effect on the membership. As far as this forum is concerned, we know the story on the Nazi leaders, so we don't have to rehash it just to titilate some individual that gets off on raising these topics.
