M1923 sling installation?

Hi guys,

I recently ordered one of the BGT M1923 slings for a Garand. The thing is, I'm having a heck of a time finding pictures showing the assembly of it. I've found a couple of pictures of it installed, but I need step by step pictures of how to install it properly.

Has anyone else figured this overly complex sling out?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the help, but that's for the M1907 sling, not the M1923.

Found that site too, but again, doesn't have step by step assembly pictures.

In fact, it appears the BGT toys is missing pieces (And has an extra adjuster in lieu of a proper slider).

Thanks again though for your help

Supposedly the M1923 is a web version of the M1907, ie: once installed properly it is supposed to have the same functionality as the leather sling.

Covert,

Our M23 slings were copied directly from an original, including the
buckles ... there are no missing parts. Over the years I've found
other M23 slings with mixed buckles as you can see from that
site listed above. The slings are attached basically the same as
the leather version. If you need, send me an e-mail and I'll
forward you a good size photo of ours attached to an M1. You
can e-mail me at: battlegeartoys@comcast.net

Hi Auggie,

Thanks for your help. I was getting some mixed ideas there, as some seem to have a slider instead of a buckle, others seem to have some sort of a clip attachment to attach to the butt end of the Garand, and so forth.

A fellow forum member has sent me a high-res pic of the sling assembly and installation of the BGT sling, and I see how it all goes together now.

Sorry about the miscommunication - I know BGT prides themselves on exceptional accuracy - and do one hell of a job with it!
