Field of Armor Tanks Commission Build for a customer who's father-in-law's father served in schwere Heeres-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 88, Eastern Front fall 1944 - 1/6 action-figures are commission-built by Egonzinc

This unit fought on the eastern front, around Poland in the fall of 1944, before converting to

We introduced this kit before its final painting job at the IPMS National in Nebraska

Started to put a coat of Dunkelgelb by Mission Models Paint, and the green mottle pattern was added with a brush

Then it went thru weathering and oil washes, silver lining and plain dirt...

First, let me present THE CREW

Next THE TANK

Re: FOA007 Commission Built Nashorn

Loic,

It looks amazing both the Sd.kfz 164 and the crew. Thanks again for all the hard work both your team and Egonzinc. Wish I could've met Adolf but unfortunately he passed away before I met my wife. I've been able to talk to both my grandfathers' and my parents uncles about their experience as well as two family friends who were children (one lived in London before being evacuated during the Battle of Britain and the other in Berlin during the last battle of the war). Lee, my father in law, has been able to tell me some stories that his father told him but as he explained 'there was a lot he didn't talk about either to me or mom'.

No matter what side of the war they were on they all carried the scars of that horrible war long after the guns fell silent.

Superb work, this is a beautiful piece. Excellent paint scheme and weathering, love the markings too. The Nashorn is really a nice vehicle, definitely a nice kit.
