It appears from the narrower track width and fenders, plus the presence of the edelweiss crest that this is the gebirgs version.

Yes, that is the Stoewer "Erlkönig" (Elf King) with the narrower track and fenders used by the Gebirgsjägers. The vehicle in the photo is from the 6th Gebirgs "Gelbe Edelweiss" Division in Lappland (Finland).
