I have opened the site so people can take a look.
Registration is turned off so no new members can join.
Existing SAG member's have not been imported so no one's login will work. Only has two users at the moment, the Commander and a test user.

Take a look around, not a whole lot of content but some test stuff to get an idea of what is there.

- There is a new integrated photo hosting gallery (will need a new tutorial for that but it is MUCH easier than the current one Razz )

- A Video Directory for sharing videos (YouTube only at the moment) Kind of cool, not sure how much use it will get other than from Johnny Canuck Wink

- A "Links" forum for posting links to favorite sites

- A "Review" section where members can post reviews in an organized way if we like.

- A 'wiki' for gathering all our knowledge of things "one sixth". Not sure how that will turn out but it might be interesting.

- Awards for members for various reasons, Shows on the profile page and as a clickable ribbon under the avatar when people post. Something to recognize board participation efforts Exclamation

Still to add;

A "classifieds" system. Think "craigslist for one sixth" Mr. Green Had some issues with it so it won't be ready yet, but workin on it.

Member collection or "garage". Haven't found a great option for this but still looking. I think it could be a fun thing.

In the meantime, take a look and let me know what you think.

There are broken images and some text is not showing correctly, like light yellow on a white background, etc.

And if anyone has an issue with their pictures being used in the rotating header just drop me a line and I will remove them.

One last thing, you MUST use Internet Explorer 8 or higher, FireFox, Opera or Google Chrome (highly recommend Chrome, site looks great on it Exclamation)

Site will not look right or maybe even work on IE 6 or 7 and I am not going to support it anymore. If you just have to use IE 6 (maybe from work .. get back to work) then you can switch the style of the board to "Default style" by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page and selecting it from the drop down box on the bottom left of the page. This will set the screen to look like a plain vanilla board and it will work with IE6. If anything doesn't then sorry, but that is the only other option.

Use Chrome if you can.

Without further ado ....

Only one complaint : harder on the eyes than the present white on green.
As a migraine victim I find the contrast of white on black too strong for prolonged viewing.

A tip about enlarging webpages to see them better.

Most browsers (IE, FireFox, Chrome) have the ability to "zoom" in and out of webpages. On a windows machine you press the CTRL key then the plus or minus key on the numeric keypad. Plus zooms in and minus zooms out.
I suspect on a a mac you press the some similar combination.

With the incredibly large screens some computer have these days this can really help bring a page into a viewable and readable state.
