Much has been said about this figure already, I'm more of German fan but I can't resist a well done figure regardless of era or nationallity. I'd wager if such a vote were being taken, this figure would win "Figure of the Year". A few comments; I think DiD has done an excellent job in selecting textiles for this figure and it shows what I believe is the state of the art for the items in this set. Anyway here are a few pics, I did add a set of the superlative NewLine Miniatures Corcorans to the figure in Class A's.

Please note that I did cut the handle on the e-tool short, this can be seen in the rear view of the picture of the figure in jump uni. It took about ...30 seconds to fix.

Great looking suff Sixty. Was there enough parts to make 2 complete figs? The NLM boots look killer as always. Nice looking fig for sure, thanks for the photo review. He really looks like "The Fig" to own for A/B enthusiasts.

Does the "Ross" Name Tag come off or does the owner have the option of not applying it? Would be great so there would be less clean up for kitbashers.

Ross name tag comes off. Its the same style of patch that they use. Cloth with a sticky glue on the back. The GP bag is great and as I have seen discussed on the board size and scale I am not an expert. I will say that it wont fit a DiD puller .30 cal ammo can. It might fit the DML version though. E tool as stated was a tad on the long side. In the past with other figures released I think it was the Winston figure I had issues getting the hooks into the eyelets on the belts. This one while still a pain in the ass was slightly easier. Both uniforms are fantastic although like some previous releases they only included one dress shirt and tie so if you want to make two figures hit the Etailers for another shirt and tie. Thats about it from me, I am sure someone will elaborate or add to this in the very near future. thanks for taking the time

So - add shirt & tie, boots and another nude(about $15) and you have two top-notch figures for less than $80...! Exclamation

Just one thing about the garrison cap - shouldn't it have the officers gold/black piping? Certainly, it shouldn't be white - I thought all infantry used blue piping?

edit: forgot to say, thanks for the review! Cool

Hi,

Many thanks for the review.

I see the shirt does not have any insignia on the collar, this i can fix with a Dragon shirt i have.
I just wish i had another one though, as i can't remember what figure the shirt came with.

I can't wait to get my hands on this figure, because that Class A uniform is one i have been after for ages.

Gary

Hey Sixty, did you notice the very edge of the M42 pant legs? It has a two tone part near the ankle that looks like it's supposed to be folded in when bloused in the boot (I'll have to post some pics). I have never seen that before.

I didn't notice 2 tone pant legs, probably because I didn't take the boots off yet.

FYI to get 2 figs for one, all I did was add 1 headless nude and a pair of boots. Pretty cool concept if you ask me, hopefully the upcoming BEF Officer will be the same way. Not sure if I mentioned this already or if it's common knowledge but this figure also comes with 3 sets of hands. A left and right hand clenched with the index finger pointing, and alternative grips on the other 2 pair. Also, the hands have some paint ops, this is the first fig I've purchased with painted hands. I still have 2 A2 flight jackets, 1 set of hands and a cloth pistol belt leftover! Personally I like getting fewer high quality figures at a higher price than the "average" boxed figure, especially when the set is packed with useful items that are high quality. Beats the heck out of oddly and lightly equipped figures with rubber boots and pistol belts.
