I'm curious does Dragon Models sell their own model paints? Tamyia has their brand of paints for their models I just wondered if Dragon did the same

I have never seen "Dragon" or "DML" paint but Dragon USA used to carry Mr. Color paints. Not sure if they were a Dragon product or not.

Would be nice if they did carry the paint they used on their prebuilt models.

Dragon Models gives Tamiya paint numbers in the instructions for painting their kits.

Vallejo is my #1 choice in paint. Started using it years ago when I got into 1/35. They offer a huge number of colors specific to the various nations in WW2.

pzrwest I was never crazy about the colors and weathering DML used on their prebuilt stuff I prefer to repaint the whole thing or just weather the hell out of them. One of the reasons I would rather get a kit over a prebuilt. I think your better off repainting with brand you prefer.

Mr Color are Gunze Sangyo and actually can be mixed with Tamiya paint.
Tamiya paint sucks for brush painting.
Lifecolor another brand also as said Vallejo is good but needs a primer to stick good.

I guess that is why I stick with my old tried and true oil based enamels like Humbrol and modelmasters paints. I do like the Tamyia spray paint in the cans

I prefer water base, water clean up paints my self. I have my own stuff custom mixed by the gallon from Sherwin Williams. Because of the very large scale of the vehicles and amount of paint you use painting on tank with several can's of Tamiya spray bombs (@ $7.00 ea) can run into big bucks twice as much as having a whole gallon on paint mixed.
