Recently I started purchasing one sixth figures for my 12 year old son under the pretense of encouraging him to get started in this hobby. After several Dragon/21st figures we have encountered a problem that has us stumped.

How do you remove the boots without ripping off their feet along with the boots? I realise that this is not rocket science but we are really stumped.

Please help.

Like FieldmarshalX posted the hot water trick works well I usually boil water in the tea kettle pour it in a cup and hold the figure in the water about 2/3 of the way up the boot. They should soften up in a less than a minuet. If you don't want to fool with hot water a hair drier will also do the trick it just takes a little longer.

I would be willing to enter a timmed contest to see if my hair dryer could beat a pan of water waiting to boil.
I for one tend to discourage my children from boiling water on the stove for obvious safety reasons.

Hairdryer for sure, I do about 20 seconds on each side of the boot and it will come off with no effort. As for removing all those feet that I have broken off in the boots, that is beyond me!

I have an old Flintstones coffee cup I put water in and nuke it in the micro wave. I use the hot water trick for removing heads too!

I'd say go for the hair dryer as it is safer than worrying about a stove plus boiling water, considering a child is concerned. Works just as well if you ask me without the wetness Very Happy

Hair dryer works for me, and once off, a squirt of hand cream into the new boots makes them slide right on and will stay loose for removal in the future.

Kind of preverted feeling but my little guys haven't complained....yet. 8-)
