I did a little work on my MG for the DAK dio:

The strap hinge is functional, and new metal bands were added in front of the stock-

I added a bipod lock/adjustment screw (?) and access to the cleaning rod(?) on the butt stock-

I tried to duplicate the colors from gunpics.net and added the pads to the inside of the thinned out straps. Any suggestions are appriciated!

That is superb, the extra detail finishes it off really well, if you want to go that bit further, you might want to consider replacing the leather shoulder strap for a canvas one, apparently the leather really suffer in the hot climate so a lot of equipment straps were replaced with canvas.

Thanks, Vince. I should have thought of that...I didn't remember any canvas straps, but of course they'd be in use in the desert. I guess that more careful photo analysis is in order....
