Meh. Not my cup of tea. Also, why does he have K98 pouches but holding a G43?

Maybe they're taking a page from the DiD playbook and releasing mismatched gear. wink

The pouch on the other side should be the magazine pouch for this weapon. I believe there were never enough of these pouches/magazines to go around. The k98 pouch carried the rounds that were to be loaded into the magazines. Wink

That's ok. After the training manual, soldiers with the G43 rifle were supposed to wear one G43 pouch holding 2x10 rd. magazines and one 98k pouch for 6x5 rd. clips to refill the mags. Not sure what the reason behind this was. At least, there are still a lot of G43 pouches around so it seems they weren't that rare.

However, if he's a 12th SS soldier, I would have preferred a standard tunic and camo smock. He just looks too much like an Italian soldier.

12SS got a lot of Italian camo so this uniform is entirely appropriate. G43 pouches may not have been all that rare but magazines were in short supply. Overall a nice looking figure I'll get one.

Away for the weekend at the Wellington IRB 7's, had a blast and also cool stuff gets released while i'm away.

You can just see the tan of the pouch behind the letter. Looks like a new variation on the Italian camo and a new field jacket.

If i was one of the parnoid i would say he was a copy of the BMW rider i posted on the MDFC forum....

I think I'll actually get one of these. Since my focus is Normandy - Falaise he'll be useful for bash items.
