• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

My best friend, Wada, who produced the garage kid for Tracteur Blinde 37L (Lorraine), died lonely on August 5, 2017, of heart disease.
He produced 11 assembler kits and completed and owned two of them.

After his death, relics belonging to him belonging to "1/6 scale model" gathered at me, but were later taken over
Now his fathers own them as souvenirs.
I had a few odd parts left.
These include tracks, rivets, raceways, guide wheels, driver's side armor plate, driver's hatch, bodyboard, and one underbody.
I made many parts myself.
Rolling wheels etc. were requested to produce by the next processing company.

On August 5, 2018, I started production of 2 units of "Marder (Sd.Kfz. 135 PaK40)" and 1 unit of "15cm sFH131 (Sf) auf".
It is still unfinished and will continue to be built.

Yaz,
I remember when your friend started building these. I also remember his untimely passing away. I am sorry for your loss. Great of you to finish some of his designs and models in his memory! They are excellent looking vehicles. Looks like you inherited a lot of parts.
Best regards,
Bob

I, too, am sorry for the passing of your friend, YAS.

He was a very talented modeler!

Would you be willing to share more photos of the M-3 light tank in the background?

Fred

Never easy to lose a friend - condolences - though you can be rest-assured he'll live-on through his fine works and that Lorraine is indeed a masterpiece, can't say I've ever seen one in 1/6th. If anything, it should always remain in its current livery as a mark of remembrance. Cheers, Steve

Hiroya Nakano produced the M3 Stuart. I was on good terms with him, but he hates me for a few years now.

He participates in the Shizuoka Hobby Show and the Yokohama Exhibition, so I meet there every year.
