• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

I just wanted to post an overall "THANK YOU!" to everyone who participated and helped make this "Kick-off" Contest GREAT!!! You all should pat yourselves on the back for a job well done... I look forward to what will come in the future as we have ALLOT of talented people making up this board...
 
Its no small wonder the response your contest had! The Board is great!
The members are the greatest bunch of people you'll ever meet and the unbelieiable works shown is simply unmatched!
your constantly challenged to try and keep pace with all the most talented people in the hobby! The Best part is that they are all more than willing to help you with new ideals and "How-to" to always be pushing the envolpe.

Thanks for a Great Grand Opening contest and I'll be back for round two
with something even better to help try and push that envople even further!

I would like to thank the SAG admin for conjuring up the best contest I have seen. I also would like to thank all the prize contributors. And finally everyone who participated. Contests are only good when everyone participates and we had a pretty good turn-out. Hopefully next time we will broaden the field. Thanks again !
 
I would also like to thank the SAG admin and the prize contributors for conjuring up the best contest I've seen in my four short years in WWII 1/6th. It was great to see everybodies effert and ideas, they where all awesome. Can't wait for the next one. :lol:
