• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Fast Easy Way To Paint Road Wheels

I was thinking last night of an easy way to paint a lot of road wheels. Here is what I came up with. It took me less than 20 minutes to mask these. First paint the rubber or steel what ever color you wish. Let dry. Next use your favorite masking tape and lay it out on a flat smooth board. Using an OLFA circle cutter cut the masking tape as shown. Set the cutter to the perfect size of the hole you want. I was cutting ten holes at a time. Next just peel the tape up and lay it into position on the wheel. 32 wheels ready to paint.

Dennis, you can get those at AC Moore also. I think I paid like 5.00 for mine with the sunday coupon.

I also got one not sure what brand at either AC Moore or Michael's for a few bucks I think with a 50% off coupon. I kind of do the same thing as GB but I use cheap contact paper I buy at the Dollar store. Never thought of trying it on road wheels for some reason just used it to make stencils for airbrushing. I'll definitely give it a shot when I can start working on my vehicles again.

Nice one GB!

Great idea. I use the blue tape and sometimes post it notes to mask stuff for painting. That circle cutters great for cutting plastic also.........Hammer
