    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

After watching this Apple TV series and thoroughly enjoyed it, it is natural for me to create some of the characters as I did for the Band of Brothers and The Pacific. I am sure that the historians will point out the inaccuracies of the series and that of my creations but the modelling I do is just an illusion that I wish to achieve. The fun for me comes from solving the problems of sculpting and sewing which eventually leads me to the end point. The items that are not custom made are the US service boots and bodies which are Dragon models products. The jeep is a 1990’s Hasbro jeep which I re-painted.

The flying jackets were sewn with real leather as is the navigator’s flight case. The flight boots are a combination of leather and urethane resin. The heads are cast from flexible urethane resin.

As always, I hope my pictures provide some enjoyment

Great to see some of your guys again. For what it's worth, it looks like the link above (www.sixthscale-art.com) does not work. I seem to recall you had a site (battlefields something?) dedicated to your stuff, but I can't find it.

With the changing times, I tried to keep up with a website but eventually decided that it was too costly and time consuming. So I no longer have a website. I now have a flickr account where I post my pictures.

Thanks for sharing the album! Great stuff! Did you scratchbuild the 6lbr? It's an item that's been on my "want" list forever, but I've never seen anybody selling one.
 
Some great scratch-build detail in those figs indeed. Any intent on doing up a B17 backdrop or interior with all in crew position?. Thanks muchly for sharing, Steve

Your idea is a good one however I ran out of stamina on this project. Perhaps I will tackle the B17 backdrop in the future. Much of these ideas whether they come to be, greatly depends on the availability of references.
 
haha, yes stamina - that one key ingredient in seeing a model project (no matter the scale) through. I agree, references are the unsung hero and key to any project's accuracy. I value that and dedicate just as much time to reading reference works as I do work on the figures and find both go hand-in-hand nicely.
