• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

SDKFZ250 semi-tracked armored vehicle cluster

built, and three 251s are in production, progress 3/2 :D :D Wait until the building is complete before you start the camouflage painting

I don't know which one I like the most. There all so...beautiful. Is the first one suppose to be a Sd.Kfz. 250/5 leichter Beobachtungspanzerwagen or the Sd.Kfz. 250/12 leichter Messtruppanzerwagen?

My god! Your work is astonishing! Where do you store them all? How many vehicles do you actually have? Is this your full time job!??!

I'm just gobsmacked.

Those are beautiful! Your work is museum quality!
Would really like to see more of how you detailed the Mortar Carrier. I could not find much information on it, and kind of guessed a lot when I built mine.

'Gobsmacked', 'wow', 'fantabolous'...nope, just can't find the words to convey just how superb those vehicle models, and their interiors, be but suffice to say I'm most impressed by your work, can't wait to see them with the exterior livery applied. That would've taken quite a bit of time not just in application but in the research to get them right. Thanks for sharing, Steve

Very, very impressive. Really. The details are top notch. Did you scratchbuild the jerrycan racks? If so, bravo. They look great. Now the big question ... are they static or RC? I have the armor hobbies kit and I want to make it functional. It's been done and there are videos so I plan to copy the one that uses the cordless drill motor and orbital tranny, and I already have the differential. Would be better with separate motors for each side, but the ones that have been done function pretty well, though I don't plan any rough treatment for it, kind of a parade version. The main trick is to put weight, like a large battery, right over the front axle and then they steer pretty well.

I'm looking at one on RCU that's for sale, the 1/6 Armor Hobbies kit, still in the box and thinking about pulling the trigger. Of course, I've had one for several years and have been too lazy to even start on it, so maybe wait, eh? Anyway, this guy wants $350 plus shipping from Virginia to Detroit. Still brand new armor hobbies kit, still in the box. Do you guys think that's a good deal? I think I paid $325 plus s/h about 6 years ago, and it's definitely a kit with a lot of potential.

And you sure realized a lot of potential with these beauties, Azazel. What kit did you start with? Do you know anything about the DiD all metal static version of the Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf C below? It came static, almost fully assembled and painted (I have to attach some stuff, but it was included when I bought it, just have to get round to it). I really, really want to RC this, but it's all welded together and that's rather daunting. Dang thing weighs almost 70 lbs so it would be nice to be able to move it on its own power. Any thoughts or tips on the dragon offering below?

I have to say, DID 251 is not a good choice at all, its tail structure is wrong, the armor plate Angle is completely wrong, and it has an extra armor structure, which is totally irresponsible imagination of the designers of DID company, this structure can hardly be improved unless you completely remove it and make a new one, its front wheel structure is the worst design I have ever seen. And all suspension systems use very poor quality zinc alloy material, which makes it completely unsuitable for RC transformation,DID is a shameless company, they also once sold German three-wheeled motorcycles as fragile as biscuits made of inferior materials, I do not recommend buying any of its products
