    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

I've been around the 12" GIJoe world since '97 or '98.

I'm a member of The South Florida GIJoe Club.

Over most of that time I was in the "Sand Box", alt.toys.gijoe

For the last couple of years I've started to cetralize my collection around WWII. I do all sides of the conflict and seem to have an afinity for the "elite" troopers of all sides.

I've been part of the Sixth Division for a few years now and am very thankfull the guys here have allowed me to join them!

Sorry this way delayed, but after the contest results I wanted to leave some good feedback for Hank :D

During chat we're talking about the contest, and how I was trying to repaint some sculpts and failed, and was gong to buy some loose ones online. He asked me my adress, and gave me a choice of THREE HEADSCULPTS personaly painted by him. I was floored by this offer and took 3 sculpts.

Two of the three were in my contest entry, the other for another bash. But without his help I wouldn't have made the contest, nor would I have done as good as I did. His quality sculpts really made my pics what they are.

AND he threw in a Dan Summers M42 uniform!!! Which also allowed me to have a third paratroopr in my entry!

If you're gonna deal with him - dont hesistate. He's very generous, he has good communications, and he ships fast!
