• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Insignia?

KWMIM

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone might know of any insignia makers. I'm currently working on a project and am in dire need of cap badges and cap bands.
I've contacted Patches Of Pride and he's booked for a while. Tried One Sixth Scale King and he's not even answering.

This is a skill I seriously need to learn. One that I have no idea on how to start learning.

I totally get it when I'm told they're booked. That's understandable. I just hate having to rely on people.

Hi Kieth, I haven't spoken with Patrick in four or five years, but he made insignia worthy of your caps, among other things. You might try to contact him, he's "Nomad" on the boards. He made the cast insignia for the caps you made for Panzerwerk. I look for ward to seeing anything you might produce. Best custom headwear, period.

Keith,

Since you are after French pilot insignia, you should try to get in touch with Pierre-André of PAD Customs.

He might be able to take the commission work to make them for you. Or he might be able to put you in touch with another French collector who can.

Here's the link to his Facebook page:

Hope this helps!

Wow! Hey, Charles! It's good to see you. Thanks for the kind words.

I've never known Nomad to do printed insignia. Is he still around?

Thanks guys!

Sorry, I was thinking of cast metal insignia and resin parts. I don't recall him doing cloth either. You've already been in touch with everyone I can think of that's still around who might be able to provide what you need.
