    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

The Sixth Scale Collectors Club's 12th Annual FIGURECON featuring TONS of 1:6th scale figures, vehicles, displays, and dioramas of all eras and subjects as well as vendors carrying all sorts of 1:6th scale goodness! This is part of Entertrainment Junction's 11th Annual Scale Model expo featuring model boats, planes, and trains - and all in the same building as the world's largest indoor G-scale train layout!

Admission and parking are free for the FIGURECON and Scale Model Expo. Concessions and a hobby shop are also on-site. Bring the whole family for two days of scale greatness!

I am planning on attending for the first time and I'm 3 hours drive away, I hope it's worth it! Does anyone know if Dennis the "Toysurgeon" is going to be there? thanks
 
gijoe - Unfortunately, Dennis will not be at our show. If he were, I'd have announced it above in the dealer listings. Looking forward to meeting you at the show! Glad you're coming and hope you'll enjoy it! Look for guys wearing SSCC shirts and ask them for me (Fred). I will get you introduced to everyone.
