Fj Mortar Team

Thanks guys for all of the help. I made most of the changes but i didn't have an 81mm mortar. I'm not crazy about my new camera but here's the latest pics.

Re: Fj Mortar Team

awesome looking team. i know the 5cm was put out of production in 1941 but it still may have been in use with falscrimjager and gebrigsjager units as they required light weight weapons. i couldnt confirm this through pictures in m books but maybe some one else could chime in. i know the weapon itself left something to be desired as its performance is very simillar to modern day M203 grenade launchers. But in all i thinks changes you made were good additions. i still love those helmet covers, looks just like so many in pictures durning the normandy fighting

Re: Fj Mortar Team

Again nice work on the figures and foto shoot. As for the mortar if it still worked and they had ammunition for it they would still keep using the weapon. They wouldn't just toss it aside, as it can still maim and or kill just like any other mortar

Re: Fj Mortar Team

Mounting very good. This 50 mm mortar was used throughout the war. Is equivalent to 60 mm of allies. Congratulations.

Re: Fj Mortar Team

I liked the mortar "dropper" turning away and covering his ears in the one shot! Cool.

Re: Fj Mortar Team

Ryan, This is the Fally mortar team we were talking about. You should join the forum. Like I said, even if you don't post anything you will learn more about the soldiers and armor of WWII then you can possibly imagine. Sid

Re: Fj Mortar Team

On one of the Battle of the Bulge documentaries, A US soldier talked about the little 5 cm mortar. I believe they used these throughout the war.
