Hasbro 155

Here are some photos of a local fellows Hasbro 155 that I finished up. I made the spades and aim stakes for it and took the airbrush to it and gave it a new "Skin". Hope that you like the finished product.

Re: Hasbro 155

Jeff did the same work to one of my howitzers a few weeks ago, this is his second one. I can't begin to tell you the difference it made to this piece. The paint job really makes it look far more realistic but adding the spades really did it for me. As an artillery guy myself, I can't express enough how cool it was to have removable spades that fit on the end of the trails and stowed on the side for transit. Jeff just did such an awesome job on this and I know there has to be a lot of guys out there with the same piece wishing they had spades, aiming stakes and other upgrades.

here's are recent pics of the original and new reworked piece side by side, as well as other dio and vehicle pieces by Jeff (Geppetto Joe)

Re: Hasbro 155

Nice upgrade. Nice to see someone putting some work into one of these. I have several I picked up when TRU blew them out at $10.00 ea and grabbed a couple at yard sales for like $5.00. Always had it on my list to redo them good enough to use in photo shoots.

Re: Hasbro 155

The Hasbro stuff on it's own is really neat and after a little paint can really look nice. My only problem with alot of thier stuff and 21st as well is the scale issue when figures are present in the scene. The White Scout car and M8 scout car and halftrack and yadda yadda yadda are all pretty cool on their own but for the scale issue. The 155 is nice and looks much better after a new paint job but I still have a tough time with the scale of it. I will say that they are meant to be used and I don't get ansty when I move them to a show or dio. They are tough little buggers. Thanks again for the kind words.

Re: Hasbro 155

Jeff I see your working improving at a daily rate. Amazing! You are fast becoming the Scott Carter of Arizona! Now stop bogarting him and let the man finish my French town! Really nice work, would you consider selling spades and poles to the rest of us spadeless and poleless Howitzer owners? Really dresses up the little lady. I could use a set!

Re: Hasbro 155

Thanks for the kind remarks Jack, I have been told by another fellow from our local group to make spades and poles and will look into it....maybe! I am not set up to make a bunch of resin things (No pressure pot) so I try not to get sucked into the whole process. I havn't bogarted Scott, he just likes to come out and drink cherry Sam Adams and paint 18 hours straight on his own. Don't you have some treads and wheels to finish up? You shouldn't be on the boards but rather pooring resin and getting them ready for the trip over here.

Thanks again for the kind words, we'll talk with you later.
