MG42 Gunner, Ambust at Poteau Version 2.0

Fellow collectors,

I finished this one in January/February, a 2.0 version of the famous MG42 gunner at Poteau for an american collector.

I hope you like it.

Jaime.

Re: MG42 Gunner, Ambust at Poteau Version 2.0

Great rendition of that famous W-SS soldat there Jaime. My only suggestion for improvement - given how prominent they are on the figure - is applying the copper to the tips of the rounds as I find the metal MG belts, which are superb when compared to the old moulded plastic types, lacking in that one crucial detail. It is a time consuming addition though and one I can attest to having done it to some 25 belts x 50 round belts (so far) but, they do add nicely. Thanks for sharing, Steve

Great job on this iconic guy, Jamie!

Steve has a point; I need to paint the bullets on about 20 ammo belts myself...

Fierce looking figure. I just noticed the big knife or bayonet "at the ready" near his neck. Missed that in the real photos too. Beautiful work.
