I have seen two made. One by Sixty Driver, I cannot remember the other builder, and they were both excellent.

Didn't 60 make a kit for a short time? I wish I had gotten one.

Not sure he ever did, Dennis. I think he helped a member we don't see much anymore, Dubar(?) with his M8 project. At least I think it was Bob. Wayne made templates I believe for the upper deck and hatches and provided other information for anyone who asked. At least that's what I recall. Panzerwerk has offered all the detail parts Sixty has made available for other projects and I'm sure would have made the parts for the M8 if he had done them for a kit.

Re: Has Anybody made a M-8

I have just bought a r/c M3 Stuart with a view to conversion to an M8 motor carriage. Actually more my son than me. I have been researching WWII photos to try to kitbash appropriate crew. Some of the photos show the crew looking pretty much like tank crew but other have them with standard helmets and uniforms. I understand that the M8 motor carriage was used mainly by arnored reconnaissance units. Photos of these show mainly M8 Greyhound armored cars and the crew not wearing tanker gear. is it the case that either tanker gear or "standard" gear could be worn by M8 motor carriage crews as the photo evidence suggests?

Many thanks for any advice

Re: Has Anybody made a M-8

Sixtydriver and Dunbar1 both did an awesome builds of the M8 HMC. I tried to find links to both their builds. But, unfortunately both sites are gone.

I did find one by Ogre :

Re: Has Anybody made a M-8

Aside from Allan, There's another guy on Facebook who was trying to make a M-8 motor carriage. My friend Cory (panzerallan here on SAG) made one several years ago as well.

Sadly I can't point you in the direction of any build links.
