• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Dragon's Schweres Wurfgerät 41 kit.

Just finished my Schweres Wurfgerät kit. Got it for x-mas this last year. Been wanting this for so many years now! Happy to have found it on ebay. I made the wood a darker color after seeing some photos that to me looked darker then the blonde wood you always see. But I'm still not 100% happy with how the "wood" came out. I might touch up the paint on some of the crates in the future, so they look a little more like really wood. For now though it's done since I have some other projects to finish.

Those look sharp, the weathering is really nice. Was the rocket color sooo green? I do like them that color just wondering.

Thanks guys.

I mixed the color to try and match the color on the box. I might have made it a little light. Also my camera's settings I don't think are helping it! (still trying to figure out my new camera.)

I'm really not sure what to make of the color in real life. I saw one of the rockets online somewhere and it was black. But that might have been a repaint.

I agree, the wood looks perfect! The entire piece looks great. I like the color that you chose for the rockets too! Great work!

I concur, the weathering is really nice. Lets see some more photos with the crew.

Scott

Thanks for the nice words guys!

I haven't put together a crew yet. But that will be a fun shoot when I do.
But for now I have an other kit build I will post up. It's a Dragon MG-15 kit.

Awesome weathering, particularly the wood effects on the crates, I've got a couple of these stowed-away for a rainy day (never enough rainy days unfortunately) and always envisaged a little dio with crews loading the frame. The shade of green is somewhat lighter than that applied to the DML pre-builds of this kit though I reckon, based on references, that yours is more accurate in colour.

Thanks for sharing...Steve

Great build. Every aspect looks awesome. Isn't it amazing how little consistency there is from one cameras color to another.

Thanks guys!

Yeah cameras are funny that way.
Mine has different light setting and everything, but I've yet to find the right settings for shooting 1/6 stuff. Looking forwards to summer and getting out to figure them out though.:-D
