• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

I have just been taken for a ride by ForbiddenPlanet.UK

They advertised a sale - I was alerted by other Scandinavians and went there and ordered:

3 CH figure at 15 £ each - approx - 21$ - Ramcke, Hardegen and Konopka - besides thes I also ordered one Georg Bose at a normal price.

At first I had a mail that said - "Order Acknowledgement" - telling me I would get the stuff.
20 days went by - then I realised they had only claimed the price for Georg Bose - I had to mail them twice during last week - before I had a mail telling me that their suppliers couldn't deliever more of any of the CH figures!
SO - they had not even the product they set on sale - the whole sale was a big fraud!!

I have talked to other people in Scandinavia - they had the same experience - none of the lowpriced figures on sale was delievered!

Buyer bevare - these guys are frauds!!

I had a similar encouter with them a year ago when they supposedly has 4 CH Akbert Rudels on sale for GBP 15 each. I ordered all of them but 2 weeks later -and after emailing them for an update- was told they did not have them anymore.

Then recently I did have a good deal with them: Gerhard Hrach for just GBP 18. I ordered another figure in the same order to take maximum advantage of the shipping cost and that worked great: they did not charge ANY shipping cost... :-P

I probably wouldn't call them a fraud, looks more like they have a brick & morter shop and they don't keep the inventory for the on-line shop in sync with the physical inventory. Not good business practice obviously!

My advice: use with caution, don't get your hopes up high and you might get lucky...

Henrik told me of the Fobidden Planet sale and I ordered a single sale figure @£15....after two telephone calls and 3 e-mails I received the figure...27 days delivery for a "stock" item. It was correct and I am pleased with it BUT their bad business system will ensure I do not buy them again....even if, like myself, they are in the UK!

Well after confronting them with their lies - I finaly got an apology and a few days later Georg Bose arrived -

The excuse was that the sales person handling my case was new in the job.

The invoice was dated the 5th of february - so why they frist told me that all items was send to me (10the of february), and later didn't tell me that 3 out of 4 figures was not there at all - and I first had the one figure send on the 20th - is not explained.

Some of my Scandinavian friends either only had 1 figure send - or none at all.
The consesus is that FBP never had all the figures they took orders for in the sale - weather they intentionally made a fake sale to attrach other orders on none-sale figures - or they are just a bunch of jerks is not known.
