    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

I've been here a while now and just realized that I have not made a profile for myself yet.

I am a member of the Ottawa 1/6 Club and I collect mainly armor. 1/6 was a transition for me since I find this scale easy to work with the small bits. I have been into 1/6 now for going on 5 years. I collect mainly American and German, but have a special place in my heart for the 82nd A/B and on occasion the 101st. I collect armor and enjoy detailed Dio Shoots. I do enjoy long walks on the beach and moon-lit dinners, but those are all reserved for Mrs Specific. :mrgreen:

I believe in honesty and fair play. A deal is only a good deal if it is a good deal for all parties involved. A man is only as good as his word and I stick to these principles as a rule of life.

I have had the oppertunity to trade with many other members on here and am glad to have found this outlet for my 1/6 passion.
