• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Into the Blue

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

When I was stationed in Germany, we lived on the 3rd floor and my son's action man and his parachute earned their jump wings on a lot of occasions!

First off, glad to have you here to join in on the fun...Second , I thought your jump commentary/photojournalism was quite, shall I say, Ponty Pythonish. Would a made a great skit. Loved it!

Hi sean ,

glad you have wondered over to the figure Mecca (not the bingo halls) :-D

lots of good people here to help you 8)

cheers ray

Always happy to welcome those similarily obsessed with the hobby.

BTW, isn't that Eiffel Tower thing in your neck of the woods?

An FJ flying off that thing might be an interesting sight, although he might get shot down by an over zealous gendarme. Homeland Security ya know.

Here are some of my WW2 paratroopers all kitted up ready to jump. I have working chutes for the Brit and the Fallschirmjager, and when I've saved enough pennies I'll get one for the 101st guy too.

Great looking figures and welcome to the board. I especially like your 101st trooper. I'm more and 82nd guy myself bu airborne is airborne and your guy looks great.
If you'd like a pair of gauntlets for your Fally I'd be happy to send a set to you. I'm not sure they were typically worn on a jump and think your figure is fine, but they do add a finished touch. I have spare DML ones since they aren't such a common sight when your boys have reached the ground and I don't have many pre-jump guys. Looking at yours and the ones others have posted I really need to put a couple together.
Just PM me if you'd like the gauntlets.

Nice looking bashes Dude!!! And yes the Fallshirmjagers did jump sometimes jump with weapons...

One should never use the term "NEVER" in reference to WW II (or for that matter ANY armed conflict) as if it was possible, it was probable that it was done... Soldiers will always do what ever it takes to make their lives easier and to survive, there are NO hard and fast rules went it come to staying alive...

"Into the Blue" welcome to our board, I look forward to seeing further posts from you...
