    The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

    The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

     

    One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

    There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

    Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
    Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

     

    Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

    All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

Held out hope I could get my items without resulting to this but unfortunately that hasn't been the case.

I know all about the problems with ordering directly from both companies but I had nothing but good experiences with both of them in the past however that doesn't appear to be the case anymore. Ordered products over two weeks ago, made sure to pay with PayPal just in case, got the confirmation that payment was accepted and ordered received. Then I watch the status say Pending day after day with no movement for about a week. After a week I emailed both asking for an update and so far heard nothing back from them.

So I filed disputes with both of them on PayPal and attempted with work with them to resolve the issue and again both companies have gone dark. Escalated both disputes to claims and now are warning fellow hobbyist not to deal with both companies. If you do protect yourselves and ise PayPal that way you can dislute the transaction and get your money back.
 
Update.

NLM refunded my money but with no explanation of why they couldn't fulfill the order. As for OSSK PayPal sided with me and refunded me my total but according to some Facebook groups I'm part of his still fulfilling some orders but ignoring others.
 
Well surprisingly after a month I got a package from OSSK. So I sent him some days through PayPal (I pay my debts) but still will probably be the last time I deal with them. I guess deal at your own risk.
 
Thanks for the updates, damn shame about NewLine Miniatures, have yet to order from OSSK due too the many complaints over the years such as yours, shame as his stuff looks decent, wish Monkey Depot would bring back the CVI stuff....anyways, glad to all turned out well :!:
