• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

I built the little house recently with photo shoots in mind, and since it's now set up in it's new home I thought I would do a quick shoot, the land around the house is covered with local blow sand that has been sifted, the path stone is fish tank gravel!
We have 3 guys looking for dates, with the usual enticements, and being the father of four girls myself I know how the father feels about this, but one soldier finds something else to get him excited out in the garage!

Here's a couple close up of the players, the old guy is one of my collection of people you would have seen lining the sidewalks as the allies came into town at the end of the war, mostly women, young kids and old guys!
I'm not too concerned with the soldiers, too me they are just back ground players!

WORKS FOR ME TOO! LOL. I'M SURE SOME WELL-TO-DO GERMAN HAD ONE SHIPPED OVER, OR MAYBE A WELL-TO-DO FRENCHMAN WHO GOT IT CONFISCATED DURING THE WAR!

I do have a WW2 german military motorcycle I could stick in the garage, but all that chrome and bright paint just looks so much better, I also have a large collection of liquor bottles I was thinking about putting in there, that might have been almost as enticing as the girls!

He reminds me of Gert Frobe, the actor who played Bond-baddie Goldfinger, and later a german general in "Is Paris Burning?"

It might be his action figure, I'm not sure who he represents I just loved his grumpy looks, I'm sure a lot of the old men had that look on their face when watching the allies marching through their town at the end of the war!
There aren't a whole lot of old men action figures, or old ladies so you have to grab what you can when you find them!

I AGREE THAT THE BIKE YOU CHOSE WAS THE RIGHT ONE. THE MILITARY BIKE WOULD BE TOO DRAB.
YOU SHOULD ADD THE BOTTLES OF BOOZE. LOL!

I found this barrel at an antique store the other day, since I have always wanted to do a German beer hall some day I couldn't pass it up! I moved the bike out a put some of my wine bottles in the garage on a shelf!
