• Pardon the dust while the boys rebuild the site.

The board will be in a state of disarray as I get things sorted out, for a little while at least.

The new incarnation is using Xenforo as the system software. It is much like what we are used to, with a few differences. I will see about making a FAQ to help point out the differences for the members.

One IMPORTANT difference for all of us old timers is that the 'mail' system is replaced with what are called 'conversations'/

There is no 'Inbox' or 'Out box' or 'Sent' folders anymore.

Think of Conversations as private 'threads' or topics that don't exist in a forum, that you start with another member. NOTE: Conversations can include more than one member if you or someone else in the conversaion, likes.
Takes a little getting used to but I am sure you all can get a hang of it.

Only a slightly modified default default Xenforo style is available for now. Once the new SAG style is ready it will be available.

All existing users should be able to login with their usernames and passwords once the site goes up.

If anyone has difficulties logging in please contact me at sixthvanguard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and patience. I know it has been a loooong road.

Pkw 82 Kübelwagen update 3 new pics

Hi Björn,

I understand you in full my friend.
But please come back as now you are not alone anymore.

When I was new in this some 8 years ago a Swede named Per S had scratcbuild a 1/8th Tiger II still unmatched even in 1/6.
He was totally alone in Sweden and almost in whole Europe building big museum class tanks.
I had a 3 hour telephone chat with him and without that one I would have left this hobby ages ago.
Per is a forerunner and mentor for a lot of people and I think we who are into this keep assisting other curios to begin and Skalman is the only forum we can do it in our own language.
I agree and if I only wanted cheering and knowledge from other equal skilled and knowledge 1/6th builders I would have stick with Armortek and UKTC forum but knowing I can inspire some Swede to begin after reading on Skalman keeps me there - right or wrong...?
Yes, they can read here as well but a lot of them fear writing in English I have learn.

Keep up the good work!
Cheers
Kent

I think so, you end up with a much more
deatil´d radio. What could be off some trouble
is to do the antenna mount device, and the support
for the radio, the radio tray. But nothing is impossible
I have learn that on this site.
Happy to share my inspiration

Dear Falckner!

You as a Swede like myself why don´t you post your stunning build on our Swedish 1/6th forum "Skalman"?
You know as well as I how undeveloped our country is in this and we have to spread this to our fellow countrymen don´t you think?

Now it seem as I am the only one in Sweden posting there and to be frank - I do not like that!
Maybe I also shall refuse to post there and go back to only hang on English/German forums and don´t care in friends in good old Sweden - maybe a good idea as I would save a lot of time and spend it on all unbuild kits...

Cheers
Kent

Nice to hear that you like the Kübelwagen even
though its not R/C.

Sorry to disapont you :(

You sure put you´r head on the nail there
as I only got limited time to build and photograf.
As you very well know I have put my effort in trying
to spread the 1/6 to the Swedish board some time
ago, but found people some time not even bother to answer
you´r post. Then I rather put my things here, where
it mostly have some good respond.

I also have participate in a model exhibition in Malmö
C4 Open two times .So I think I have made more
then most people in Sweden to spread the 1/6 Action Figure.

Cheers Björn "Falckner"

You have right, On the Swedish board people have´t hard to do some answer on the post, some är good some are really bad.
I do some less post me too.

But i Love all your works, house or cars you name it.... :!:

Ooops I better start weigth training then  , or on the
other hand we´ll make you a jerrycan holder when you get
here next time.

See you soon Henrik looking forward

lol If not mistaken he is, but one of the great things about the SAG is these old threads and what an asset they truly are

Thanks Leno, the MG Mount is a kit from Armorpax, the Cyberhobby Radio Kubel set I got off one of the FaceBook groups :!:

The Radio Kubel is always a favourite DML/CHE of mine and yours is really turning out a treat based on the WIP pics. I changed-out the 2-box Tornister "Dora" that came with my pre-assembled for one of the figure sets as I found the later had more detail in terms of the front panels but other than that the modified variant (along with the ambulance variant) were great releases and, as you've illustrated, the CHE add-on sets can really spruce up a standard fit-out. Looking forward to seeing the final result. Cheers, Steve
